SALT Restaurant Awards is an annual meeting and award ceremony for the best restaurants of Ukraine.
The founder and organiser of the Awards is HOTELIERO®, the club of hoteliers and restaurant-keepers.
SALT Restaurant Awards are given to restaurant which have been selected by consumers and assessed by the professional jury of the Awards. The award for winners, SALT frying pan, is a symbol of quality of Ukrainian restaurants. The main purpose of SALT Awards is to help consumers gain information on the quality of restaurants of the largest cities of the country.

Aims of the Awards
  • Determine and award the best restaurants of Ukraine
  • Consolidate members of the industry over the idea of further development and increasing the quality of services

Audience of the Awards
SALT Restaurant Awards unites owners and top managers of the best Ukrainian restaurants, mass and special media, developers, auditors and consultants as well as all representatives of restaurant business making key decisions.
  • 250 people: the total quantity of the event participants
  • More than 100: the number of restaurants represented at the event

Participating cities

In 2014 restaurants of Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk will compete for awards in ten different nominations.
Restaurants from any corner of Ukraine may participate in the nomination "Restaurant in Another City.

TOP-10 best restaurants of Ukraine will be called within the frameworks of the Awards in the following nominations
  • The Best Coffee House
  • The Best Meat Restaurant
  • The Best Fish Restaurant
  • The Best Restaurant of Ukrainian Cuisine
  • The Best Restaurant of National Cuisine
  • The Best Restaurant of Local Cuisine
  • The Restaurant with the Best Wine List
  • The Best Beer Restaurant
  • Discovery of the Year
  • The Restaurant in Another City

Methodology of the Awards

The common list of nominated restaurants is formed by the independent expert council: 20 representatives of the cultural, business and gastronomic elite in each participating city.
The list of finalists of the Awards is formed on grounds of the largest quantities of coincidences of the experts preferences in each nomination in participating cities.
Different jury members attend restaurants-finalists at least twice. The restaurants are assessed in the following categories: "Service, "Cuisine, "Atmosphere and "Specialisation.
Winners of the Awards are announced during the grand ceremony.

Organisational Details

The grand ceremony of SALT Restaurant Awards is held on December 8, 2014 in InterContinental Kyiv Hotel.

  • The official part of the Awards  grand award ceremony and congratulations of sponsors.
  • After-Party  a private event, entertainment programme and informal communication with potential partners.
